My main purpose for this rig is to be able to play TF2, CS:S, L4D with everything maxed out (AA, AF etc. are all pushed to their limits) on a res of 1440x900.

Will this rig be able to do that? Thanks for your time. :)

To be completely honest... that card might be overkill. I can run most games @ 1920 X 1200 with almost all settings maxed with that exact same card. You could potentially get a 4830 and have very good performance at that resolution. Just thought I would add my $.02.

I personally think crossfire is not worth the money in a midrange build, because you have to spend extra money on a motherboard that supports it, you have to purchase a PSU that handle it and when you run into games that make you want more GPU power your crossfire compatible cards may not be available for purchase.

If you can get by with on mATX (you'll only have access 1 PCI slot) and choose to skip a crossfire board. This Asus 780v board is $95. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131330
