HP 3in1 Printer- printing size problem

When I try to print a 4x6 photo using 4x6 photo paper, the image does not
fill the available area. It prints with a 1/4" border on the bottom (in
Landscape) but up to 3/4" or more on the other sides. I have tried to
"resize" in HP Photo and Imaging, both by changing the dimensions and
increasing the resolution, but it always comes out to an image of roughly
5x3 inches. I can make it smaller, but no larger unless I specify a larger
paper source, then it igets printed in the middle of the page.

How do I get the image to fit properly?

Perhaps your printer does not support borderless printing. If so, then the
only recourse is to buy one that does.

Which model do you have? The recent PSC 2410 and PSC 2510 will print full
bleed 4x6 (and other size) prints. Some of the older models required 0.25" on
the sides, 0.08" at the top and 0.46" at the bottom of the page.

In the printer setup there should be a "borderless" option. Go through all the
printer options as I'm not sure exactly where it is.

You have to "crop" the picture not resize it. Keep in mind digital cameras
usually(always?) have an aspect ratio of 1 : 1.33. Conventional cameras are
usually 1 : 1.5. Meaning a digital photo will not fit on a 4 x 6 and
maintain it's aspect ratio without being cropped. If your trying to print a
4 x 6 photo that you've scanned well then I have no idea other than to
suggest you make sure your diver is up to date.
