HP desktop, want to add an SSD but no spare SATA plug from its PSU: can I remove optical and use its power plug with adapter?

Well, the title basically says it all, heh.

I bought an HP Pavilion desktop and I'm very satisfied with it and now I want to add an extra SSD I have laying around but the custom PSU it uses has no spare SATA power plugs.

HOWEVER, the system comes with an optical drive which I have no need for and was wondering if I can use the PSU's SATA plug for THAT, which is similar to the regular SATA power plug but not the same, to power my SSD by way of some adapter?

Which adapter, if it exists, would I need?

EDIT: Want to clarify that I can't buy a regular SATA power plug splitter because the system simply does not come with any at all; it ships with an M.2 NVMe drive for storage only. The only other SATA-type plug coming out of the PSU is the one for the optical drive.
