I have an HP G7-2294NR laptop that will crash after I unplug the charger.

It doesn't shut down it bluescreens. This seemed to start happening after my pc crashed the first time as soon as I unplugged my usb flash drive so I had to reset windows with the keep my files option. I got windows back up to date and none of my drivers have the yellow icon next to them.

My battery charges fine. I did the battery test fine and it shows it has plenty of capacity. But as soon as I unplug the charger the screen goes dim then it blue screens. If I shutdown my laptop and then turn it back on without the charger connected, before I reach the sign in screen it bluescreens but this time with a jumbled mess of white lines and no text i can read. Also noticed that now When I shut it down it just turns right back on by itself.

I Have also tried a new battery and still does the same thing. Tried calibrating the battery but it will not start the calibration.

What BIOS version are you currently on for your laptop's motherboard?

so I had to reset windows with the keep my files option.
I would've reinstalled the OS instead, in offline mode, then manually installed all drivers with the latest versions while in offline mode, in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

Bios version is F.17 I can't get the device specific drivers for my laptop anymore because hp thinks it's cool to not have them available to download them when they no longer offer support for it anymore.

while the battery i was using is not oem, I have been using it for around 5 years before this with zero issues. The new battery I tried is also a different brand.

that isnt the issue the issue is hp battery's may have some differences to the non branded basically different voltages.

i suspect the battery while it has capacity isn't the correct voltage so it just crashes cause the power isnt sufficient enough the charger might charge the battery but the laptop is running of the charger not the battery in that state when plugged in.
