HP Laserjet 5000n Question

I have two questions that I hope someone can answer.

1. I seem to recall there was a way to access the control panel of an HP printer via a web browser? Does this sound familiar to anyone? And if so, what is the web address?

2. Supposedly I can add a hard drive to my HP Laserjet 5000n.
a. What would be the benefit?
b. What kind of hard drive I am looking for?
c. Are there instructions on how to install it?

If the printer has a network socket, the setup display should allow you to see or select the IP address. Some printers show such info via a printout (look for test page option). I think you have to set the printer as a network printer in Windows before you can actually connect to it via network.
