I've reached a stage where I need lots of storage. I'm very impressed with the HP MediaSmart EX487 and would consider buying this when it becomes available. I'm looking for a system with approximately 2TB storage to begin with room to expand to 4TB or more. I also want a back up solution. The data needs to be shared over a network. Do people think it's possible to build something similar to the MediaSmart? Or is there a simpler solution? How can I go about building a system to meet my requirements?
