[SOLVED] HP Pavilion 590 -P0050 graphics card options

Hey all,

I’m upgrading some components in an HP Pavilion 590-P0050. The system has a 310W power supply and I’m trying to find a GPU that is compatible. I’m between the GTX 1650 and the GTX 1650 Super.

The 1650 recommends a 300W psu so I’m good there, but the 1650 super recommends a 350W supply. I’m confident I’d be under the 310W max I’m restricted to, the components in the system plus the gtx 1650 super comes out to about 200W TPD, the only thing I’m unsure of is the motherboard power draw.

I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with upgrading this system with either of these cards. Should I play it safe with the gtx 1650 or go for the Super?

The 1650 super definitely seems like a beefier card that will need more power. I would stick with the 1650 regular:
