my hp pavilion dv1000 display not work but the power supply is okey how can i solve it guyz

First shine a flashlight on the screen and see if you see a faint image. If you can see a faint image, your backlight and/or inverter may have failed. Plug in an external monitor and press the fn and f4 key. If you get an image on your external monitor, you will have to replace the inverter and/or backlight. It can be a little tricky to replace the backlight, since it is attached to the lcd panel.
