Question HP Pavilion DV7 screen problem

Hi all,

I'm having a weird issue with my HP Pavilion DV7-3105a; when I boot the laptop up the screen becomes messed up, with various artifacts and distortions on screen. It is impossible to perform any actions with the laptop, but the issue disappears upon holding the power button to force a restart.

This is an example of the artifacts I mentioned earlier; can anyone give me an idea of what's going on and how I can fix it?

One, we can't see that file so upload to youtube or some file sharing site

two, it's likely the gpu. You could try and repaste, but likely wil a repair shop need to look at it if the laptop stil is worth it.

three, most important, if it is still under warranty contact the shop you bought it from or HP and go for rma.
