Hello All,

I have an HP ProBook 450 G2, and want to ask a few questions:

1) The laptop currently has HDD and want to replace it with SSD. I read 2 different sites from HP about the possible SSD I can select:
  • Source
  • 256-GB Solid-state drive, TLC, for use in HP 450 models
  • 128-GB Solid-state drive, TLC, for use in HP 450 and HP 455 models
  • 128-GB Solid-state drive for use in HP 450 models
  • 120-GB Solid-state drive, M.2, for use in HP 450 models
In the list above, 256 GB is the maximum I can upgrade.
According to another source, I can only select 128 GB SSD.
If I were to upgrade and the size was greater than 256 GB, will there be any issues?

2) The laptop has an optical drive slot. According to this site, the dimension is 9.5mm. Is this the height of the drive?
I checked online the dimensions of 2.5" SSD, and stated the height is 15mm.
Can I use this drive to replace with my HDD?

3) Finally, I can also add an M2 SSD, but can I select a size greater than 120 GB? Similar issue to (1).

Thanks :)
