[SOLVED] HP Z210 Bios Update

I'm unable to, after searching over 180 pages on HPs site, find a single driver or bios for the z210, in fact my z400 and 8540w i couldn't find anything for either. Wasn't sure where to post this but i need a bios update for the z210 and i have a feeling that their support isn't going to help(though i did email them) does anyone have the latest bios for the z210 that they can link me to? I doubt it matters but its the mini tower variant.

You will have to change the OS if you happen to be browsing from a Windows 10 machine, as the last BIOS update is much older than that, but it's right there in the list of all drivers (yes, under BIOS) if you choose, say, Windows 7 64-bit.

You have to choose the version of Windows the box shipped with or the last version of Windows any machine in the class shipped with.

HP is definitely one of the companies that keeps a comprehensive online set of drivers and documentation for lots of older equipment, along with the service manuals for a great many of them, too.

"We were unable to find drivers for your product. " on every single one of those links, clicking manually select the os does nothing.

Sorry, but if I go to each of those pages, click the Choose a different OS link, then on the next page use the dropdown to choose Windows followed by Windows 7 64-bit for the specific Windows, then click the + sign next to "All drivers" after those two choices are made there are all of the drivers.

This result is not, and cannot, be different for different people. If you can't find them with the above then you're never going to find them!!

(Same result for Win8 64-bit, too)

The Z210 was released in 2011....definitely a dead product, as far as HP is concerned.

The Z400 was released in 2009....beyond dead.

The 8540w was released in 2008....deader than dead.

You won't be getting anything from HP on any of those products, and at those vintages, none of them are worth putting any time into, if you're looking to install windows on them.

Linux is a different story, though; but, seriously, HP won't be supplying anything for those machines.

I agree, though, that none are worthy of putting any significant effort in to as far as keeping them alive. Low end machines of today run rings around them.

I've dug high and low on their site and was unable to find anything, i opened a case with them, but it could be months before i hear anything back from them

Hey, who knows....maybe they'll send somebody on a search through the floppy disk archives, and they'll come up with something for you (hope does spring eternal); but, don't hold your breath.

As already said - HP have long forgotten then have ever manufactured or supported this PC. Whatever development files were there are long archived (or destroyed).

But I'd be interested to know

• why you need BIOS update?
• are you sure there's one available?
• what driver, for what OS you're missing?

I was able to get the drivers i needed, but the network drivers were a pain in the <mod edit> to get, which were the only ones i really needed to use a program to download the rest, the z210 in particular i do need a bios update for ram compatibility, i have an early version of its bios and the ram i'm attempting to use works in one but not another and i figure its because of an old bios.

Alright, something strange happened, don't know what caused it, but before i could click change OS all i wanted, slowly, or repeatedly, and i wouldn't get anything, i tried again, more or less out of desperation and it decided to work.
