Hello there! This problem was bugging me for months now and its my connection to my router. When my PC is connected to my router it starts to have lag spikes, not only when I am in the browser but the whole computer overall (its really frustrating). For example when Im watching Netflix my computer lags and the sound gets distorted and that happens every 10 seconds. I know that my router is fine because all my other computers that are connected to it work beautifully. And I also know that my computer works great when connected to the other routers. I also know that all my drivers are updated and im also on Windows 7 if that helps. Does anyone have any solutions?

I have wireless connection and I ran almost every possible malware/virus scan there is.

The lag does not happen on wired connection. The wireless adapter is Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller. The router model is Cisco DPC3825.

I would assume there is a setting mismatch in your router and wireless adapter settings. Is the router using a default configuration or have you tinkered with the settings much?

What connection speed are you generally connecting with (wireless)?

All of the settings on the router are the same, I didnt really change any settings. When I use Wireless my speed is around 6 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload and Wired is around 40 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload
