I wanted to check my rails' values for some reason(to check whether psu is defective or not)...and I see that what I'm getting is kinda different from those who get proper readings.

Hardware monitor ITE IT8620
Voltage 0 0.79 Volts [0x42] (CPU VCORE)
Voltage 1 2.04 Volts [0xAA] (VIN1)
Voltage 2 2.00 Volts [0xA7] (+3.3V)
Voltage 3 3.41 Volts [0xA9] (+5V)
Voltage 5 -7.10 Volts [0x94] (-12V)
Voltage 6 -6.00 Volts [0x7D] (-5V)
Voltage 7 2.84 Volts [0x8D] (+5V VCCH)
Voltage 8 1.56 Volts [0x82] (VBAT)
Temperature 0 28°C (82°F) [0x1C] (TMPIN0)
Temperature 1 34°C (93°F) [0x22] (TMPIN1)
Temperature 2 24°C (75°F) [0x18] (TMPIN2)
Fan 0 2064 RPM [0x147] (FANIN0)
Fan 3 491 RPM [0x55F] (FANIN3)
Fan PWM 0 0 pc [0x0] (FANPWM0)
Fan PWM 1 0 pc [0x0] (FANPWM1)
Fan PWM 2 0 pc [0x0] (FANPWM2)

these are the values i get from application and I cant see +12V's values...does that mean something is wrong?....could that be a possible reason why my pc shuts down and reboots while playing a game?

thanks for your help.

I did that memtest86(not the + one) today and it was going well untill that shutdown happened again after 3.5 hours of test...It was at the stage 3 of test and till then it found more than 20 errors so finally it made that shutdown/reboot happen.

I checked the event logs and saw something like this...the time is kinda close to the shutdown time of pc but don't know if this keeps records of events outside of windows of course(probably not).

Source: Kernel-PnP
general: The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\SensorsAndLocationEnum\LPSensorSWDevice.
its a system warning but don't know if this talks about something different...if anyone can examine that statement I would be appreciated.

I don't know I got that hw info that ko888 recommended and my psu readings are near right on the money idle and working. nothing got or is as way off as yours shows above in your first post on the voltages and when running something to draw power It never faltered in any way and all held firm.

like yours shows 2v on the +3.3 ? something like that don't look so good ????

Dont know anymore....reboot never happened when doing unigine valley or heaven...hack even mortal kombat x didnt cause this...but whenever i play heroes of the storm it just happens...and while doing memtest86

If my voltage readings are not supposed to be then i should deal with psu first..thats for certain

I cant seem to have that hw/info save the psu readings. it saves every thing but them for some reason so I could post them for you to see - don't get why you can save all the results and readings except sensor ?? how silly
any way i'll type them in [my psu ] and I ran stuff to load things up for a real life in use readings

---- --- current -- min -- max -- average
+12 = 12.091 - 11.880 - 12.144 - 12.059

+3.3 = 3.344 - 3.312 - 3.360 - 3.341

+5 = 5.064 - 5.040 - 5.064 - 5.060

this don't give like - 12v ,-5v or nothing ??? I guess these monitors suck depending on the motherboard or something ???

if there is one I did not list and you want to know and if its one I got to give let me know ??

I opened HWINFO and created a log file on sensors to record the changes sec by sec then I started to play heroes of the storm...of course system shutdown again so I checked last record on the log file and here's the some values:

Vcore: 1.092
+3.3V: 3.324
+12V: 11.88
+5V: 5.04

I could give you the total 8 mind log to see the whole changes if you want but I'm sure this is the last record just before the shutdown/reboot.
or do you want me to look another option in that file?...like cpu fan speed, memory temps etc.?

edit: I checked other stuffs and saw an abnormal reduction in this right before the shutdown;
AVCC3 [V]
time: 32:20.9 V:4.632
time: 32:23.0 V:3.096
time: 32:25.3 V:1.56

well dang . them values look good ???? al heck of a lot better then then in your first post .. I did look up that game and seen some shutdown issues from running it . so what else do you get them shutdowns with ??

now in that log wile running that game I assume them readings were right at the shutdown point ?? and there were no major dips or spikes in values at any time that may of triggered something ??

mine don't give that avcc3 ??? but the avcc hangs tough at 3.347 on mine ??

I wish I could find a chart on what all these readings run ? is it for memory power ??cpu?? harddrive ?? that's the thing I'm looking up so if the avcc was used for powering a certain a hardware or board part then you have more to look at

I would think dipping that low may not be normal ??? and would feel the out put should be stable at the set required voltage -- so if it was 3.3 volts and it cant hold close to that and dips down to like yours 1.56 v I would look at that as suspect

as far as I know, only heroes of the storm, skyrim(with enb) and memtest86 causes 2 sec shutdown then auto powerup.

AVCC3 is the +3.3V rail from which the sensor is powered says someone I found in Google but HWINFO shows +3.3 exclusively...I mean apart from that...they cant end up being the same thing..but..they can also be though:)
I'll clean my psu and cpu fan with compressor this sunday...and reinstall the motherboard entirely...I'll share results here because some people still think that dust might be the only reason.

well mine gets pretty dusty [I'm bad about letting blowing it out slide ] but I guess I never had it cause a shutdown. I been running stuff with that monitor run to get min-max readings as I go and I cant see anything dropping out amd all holding near right on the money as like I posted above

dont know , I would have to lean towards the psu is faulty -- these thing happen to us all it maybe you just drawed the unlucky one of the bunch ??

I wonder if like that voltage drop occurred and it could not recover and windows shut down

I.d run that game and keep logging to see if things hold true or if its this reading one time something else the next like from your first post the +3.3 was showing you had 2.00v and now in your latest post its now 3.324 and the same with the +5v was 3.41 and now its 5.04 ??? the darn psu may have a regulator issue ???

I feel its too many big swings in the readings when they should be close to the rated output

I should add that running hw/monitor and hw/info side by side the readings listed that are the same from both monitors are reading the same exact values

too bad that I already tried🙁....by default my stick are 1866 mhz but i guess intel doesn't want speed higher than 1600 and default bios settings set it to 1600....so i changed it from there to its original amount and I was using like that since.

but of course I thought that possibility and decreased it to 1600 to sure if this problem is about that or not....which is not🙁

p.s. I played heroes of the storm for almost like 2 hours and no shutdown...its weird that it just happens randomly...sometimes happens just at the beginning of the game.

edit: just remembered I once set my ram's speed to 2133mhz from e.m.p. for a brief period....i started to get some bsod in games so obviously this was the reason and changed it back to 1866...weird thing is this shutdown problem started after that...I hope I didn't damage my cpu's memory controller or stuff.

again, its in 1600mhz for a week and I'm still getting shutdown-reboot.

not to keep harping on your psu but it claim to have under volt protection [ Protection OVP/UVP/OCP/OPP/SCP ] so looking at some of your readings being or going way under maybe why its shuts down ??

just something else to conceder on this issue

for all I looked up and tried to help it seems now to point to it - faulty psu

and like ko888 re-brought up , it all maybe what powers the memory and why it will not hold timings and failed the mem test and just has to shut down ??

sorry if it took so long....am sharing my results if anyone else who has the same problem may reach a solution from what've been through...
so last sunday i cleared my psu and cpu cooler with compressor...renewed the thermal thing on the cpu, cleared cmos and finally format the OS.
so far everything went well..no any shutdown...until I re-increased the memory speed to its factory value, 1866mhz.
I did that from extreme memory profile because it sets timings more accurately and stuff.
and kaboom...shutdowns again....and more often it seems!....so I opened my case and cleared CMOS again (dont say that I could just reset the bios to default from there....but someone told me that clearing CMOS is more....proper?)
anyway I hope I wont get that shutdown again but if I get it somehow...its source must be psu like you and ko888 said.
thanks for your time...

well try each memory stick one at a time and see what goes on there with that ,but I do feel with those dips and swings in the psu readings hard not to consider that

the voltage readings should at the rated rail value at all times like it showed on one 3.3 v being at 2v ?? and the other you showed just seemed real suspect

I assume you kept logging the psu readings to see if anymore readings get out of whack or drops in voltage while running to a shut down ?? [log with both monitors to compare there readings with each other]

like when I run hd,info and hw,monitor side by side the readings show the same during testing
