Hi I have a gigabyte ab350 gaming 3 mobile and HyperX Predator ddr4 2x4gb sticks of ram. However if I change the speed from anything other than default my system crashes soon as I get into log in screen. Cant use the XMP profiles as they do same. Iv tried using Ryzen Master and still crashes.

Force the issue on the motherboard. You've literally checked and replaced every other piece of hardware it could be. There is no reason it shouldn't work except the motherboard.

Well gigabyte have said the motherboard works fine so I haven't a clue what to do now. Can't overclock the ram and.i can't overclock the ryzen gfx past 1099mhz which is pathetic as should.go to 1400 easily with an aftermarket cooler it just makes the computer freeze

At this point theres not much to tell you, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose on CPUs and memory. They are binned to run at stock speeds, so overclocking is not guaranteed. Memory wise, some still have minor issues with Ryzen. Only Samsung B-die based memory is basically guaranteed to work at full speed.

Sure I downloaded ryzen calculater set it to 3000mhx on safe mode then copied all the setting from the calculater into the memory settings in the bios. Works now no errors. Took a long time but was worth it.

Ok great thanks for the info.

Yeah I don't use XMP on mine I set the settings manually, they were basically the same though, but for me at the time it didn't seem to work right.
