This does not quite answer anything
But my BIOS version is 1102. I am guessing that is newest

with a older intel chipset you may of fallen under whats said here ??

Hi, I'm Jewel with Kingston Technical Support and would like to offer our assistance. It is possible that the HyperX 4GB memory modules are Single Rank as the latest builds of that part number are Single Rank. Up until recently 4GB modules were standard Dual Rank. Basically, the issue that can occur is that the memory module uses high capacity individual memory chips (DRAM) that the motherboard is not equipped to recognize. Usually, if a motherboard is able to recognized standard 8GB modules it should not have an issue recognizing Single Rank 4GB modules. A "1R" may be printed on the label which would indicate it as single rank. Otherwise, we can confirm this based on a reference number printed on the memory label that we can look up in our system. Other common issue with the DDR2/DDR3 combo motherboards that can be overlooked is that it only supports DDR2 OR DDR3 memory. This means you cannot have both DDR2 AND DDR3 memory installed at the same time, it is an either/or option. We do not currently support your PFG41C-M LX motherboard as we no longer manufacture memory that would be compatible with that motherboard. For any further assistance, please call us at 1-800-435-0640 (USA and Canada only) M - F 6am - 6pm PT and I or another available Technician will assist you. Please be sure to have the part in question on hand when you call.

Kingston memory: Intel has received reports of a Kingston memory compatibility issue with systems using the Intel® Desktop Board DH61DL. The issue only occurs when two DIMMs are installed. The issues that may occur include corrupt video, no video output, or random reboots. Although the DH61DL board is operating within specification, a modification was made so these compatibility issues are reduced.

this can now be with any brand you buy today

So you mean something like this http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-12800cl9d-8gbrl ?
As Asus P5Q3 has P45 chipset and this F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL is not compatible with it ?
I can't find anything compatible with P45 chipset.

look here at that memory tradsman recommended from egg reviews [7th review down]

ncompatible with older LGA775 board

Pros: Great value

Cons: Good reviews weren't quite enough to assume compatibility with older motherboard.

Other Thoughts: I bought this kit along with the GIGABYTE GA-G41MT-S2PT LGA 775 Intel G41 + ICH7 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard. Due to this being an older board the memory support list was nearly all for 2GB modules. The only 4GB module officially supported was Samsung M378B5273BH1-CF8. This G.SKILL module comes close to specs (CL7, PC3 8500). Since the board was proudly advertised as supporting 8GB, I figured to take a chance, and I lost.

Long story short: these modules have chips on only one side of PCB (high density chips) and therefore not supported by all LGA 775 boards. I'll either be returning these or just upgrading to the 2010s with my CPU & MB.

Manufacturer Response:
.
Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear the memory did not work well in your G41 motherboard. You may want to try the G.Skill F3-10666CL9D-8GBNT. This is a low density memory kit that should work better with that motherboard. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you
