this is my build http://pcpartpicker.com/user/thefreed/saved/#view=fL6G3C
I used gigabyte ez set up to change to raid from ahci, without knowing what each did.( stupid of me.)
I tried reinstalling windows from a dvd, but it still stays as raid... and I can't switch it from ez set up anymore.
I tried the regeit and I couldn't find msachi or something but I did find some other ones that I could change to 0, and I tried going to bios to ahci, but windows wouldn't boot.

I am planning on getting sata cables to connect my original hard drive, but then the wiring for my psu is really iffy, and I am not exactly sure how to plug the other one next to the sata cable.

Can you guys help me change it back to ahci if I am willing to do a fresh install after I get the parts needed to connect my hdd.

Or should I wait till I get my sound blaster z sound card and lg 24gm77 monitor to do a reinstall?

Hey,
Since you are booting into Windows apparently I don't see what the problem is.

You may have the ability to use RAID but I'm pretty sure you don't have any drives setup as RAID.

If you're really concerned then:

1) Plan for fresh install (if any backups/passwords need to be sorted)
2) Unhook all but the Windows SSD
3) Boot into motherboard BIOS and ensure it's setup as "AHCI"
4) Install Windows (do not enter key if W10 is already activated)

*On some motherboards it may say "RAID" at the top even if the actual individual drives are installed as AHCI. It can get a bit confusing, but the bottom line is that if you're running Windows on a single drive then there's nothing to worry about.

I heard it isn't as efficient and I want to know before I get the sata cable for the hard drive, and screws for ssd.
And Unhook? I only have the ssd drive installed right now.... Also what is W10 activation?
Thank you for your time!!!
