[SOLVED] I accidently put my CPU power connector in the gpu. Is my gpu fried?

i just finished my pc but i accidently put my CPU Power connector in the gpu.
My motherboard powered on for a few minutes but then shut down.
Saw my mistake later then tested the psu which didn’t work. Anyone know if I can expect my gpu to work?
Had both the CPU and the pcie in the gpu if that makes a difference.
No smell or smoke

The best way to know for sure is testing the GPU in a known working rig.

You can give the psu some time of the power and try it again, maybe you got lucky and a safety measure saved you from buying another. The time is needed to let it reset the safety measure that kicked in. And make sure to use right cables this time.
