I am attempting to add some RAM to bring it up to 4Gb (currently running (1) 2Gb module).

>as per manual, machine should be able to handle 8Gb.

>I Tried adding a matching module per manual slot color, no post.
>I Tried moving new module to 1st slot, no post.
>I tried clearing the CMOS right after I installed the new module, no post.

The system POST after I reinstall the old memory (2gb) but need to make it to 4gb with the new ram.

Motherboard: MSI LTD 3664h
My mobo supports DDR3-SDRAM DIMMs, PC2-10600 (1333 MHz) non-ECC. (double sided memory)
>My old module is 2GB Transcend DDR3 PC1333 CL9 DIMM 240pin 1.5v
>The brand new module is 2gb Kingston 2gb PC3-10600 CL9 DDR PC1333 UDIMM 1.5v (single sided)

I need your help guys. Thanks.

No. It does not!
It seems to me that you have a faulty graphics card.

Do you have the opportunity to exchange the graphics card or take it out and perhaps You have another graphics port on Your computer?

Or ask Your friend if he/she is willing to temporary lend you one?
Just for testing.

I dont know if the bios requires updating to detect newer modules. It could be that the motherboard can support newer/ more memory but only with a bios update I guess.

Thanks man!. Already figured out the problem, although the one that I'm trying to add is brand new that comes with a single sided memory. Unfortunately, my old module is a double sided memory which is already phased out. I did bought a bargain awhile ago 2gb Kingston 2gb PC3-10600 CL9 DDR3 PC1333 DIMM 1.5v (Double Sided) and it worked perfectly fine.
