Soooo... I got me an Asus Vivobook with Windows 11 Pro , 40GB RAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD.
I recently read how to install Chrome OS on to a partitioned portion of the SSD creating a 2nd drive letter with said OS on it.. all seemed to go well.. then i proceeded to follow the steps to install Grub2Win... that went well... When all was done, I rebooted my computer, expecting to see a Grub Menu.. but NOPE... , nothing, nada.. the system just continued to boot into Windows as usual..
As i started digging deeper trying to determine now if i did something wrong or what had happened.. i finally booted into my BIOS screen and found where my system is setup on and EFI boot..
After messing around in there and saved changes to set the EFI Grub2Win as my menu.. i finally got that menu.. but when i select "Brunch", which is supposed to further the process to look at my ChromeOS partition.. it does nothing.. the system, will then reboot go back to the Grub2Win menu, but still never see's the path to boot into the ChromeOS...
Which now brings me to my main questions:
If i was to revert all changes back to before installing the WSL commands, and before creating the 2nd partition, and before the Grub2Win menu.. what is my best course of action ?
As of now.. I was able to remove the Grub2Win by doing the "bootrec /fixmbr" dos command.
... I still have the Chrome OS partition with Chrome on it... can i just delete or format that partition only ?
... how would i go about removing the Ubuntu features ?
OR.... is there a way to restart my proceedure? because when i do attempt to do so, the system says all files exist and it won't even overwrite anything.
I would like to be able to do a dual boot of Windows 11 and Chrome OS but just not sure that the instructions i followed may have missed a step or two..
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.. thanks.
