[SOLVED] I bought an AOC monitor, and i can't run 144hz

I got a new AOC C27G1 and I can't run 144hz on my Predator PH315-52, everytime I set the refresh rate to above 60hz, I get a black screen until I revert it back to 60hz.
Using a DP to Mini DP cable.

Any ideas??

Which PH315-52 version do you have?, there's a couple. The two i did see don't have Displayport.

Have you tried Hdmi? Your monitor supports 144Hz via Hdmi.

I can't believe it. I tried the HDMI cable supplied with the monitor, and it is working!
Didn't even try it before because I heard it's maximum Hz capabilities is 60.

You're welcome. Yeah that's a common misinformed belief 😉, it's a manufacturer choice to allow Hdmi to achieve over 60.

Displayport should have worked though so not sure why unless there's something wrong with the cable.
