I bought the wrong card - please help!

Hi Guys,

i recently purchased a Gigabyte GTX560 Ti (or i thought i did), i threw away the box and packaging but still have the manual etc...

now i am wondering if whether i got the 560 or the 560 Ti as they look quite similar, the manual cover does not state or make reference to the "Ti" part...


is there anyway to make sure which card i have?

Check on the invoice/receipt, or install the card, load up GPU-Z and cross your fingers?

Edit: why do all posts now have "14" at the end?

so GPU-Z will be able distinguish between the two? or do i have to look for numbers?

-all posts end with "18" from my end.

yeah that's how it works

there are a lot of other specs that can you differentiate between them, but the almost easy way is the GPU-Z

yes you bought the non Ti version, and GPU-Z should say GTX 560 TI, this is your card

The card should have a part number, serial number, etc.. on it, you can look at the manufacturer's site and find out, although you already got the info. Much easier to just look for a part number on the card.
