[SOLVED] I can’t boot a fresh Copy of Windows 10

Been trying for days to get my pc back up and running after buying a new SSD and now I think all drives are screened up.

Microsoft Windows .com creation download. Extract files to my usb patriot 32gb drive. I then click setup in the drive and create a windows iso and leave that iSo image on the usb drive. Then take to my computer and try it out. Nothing boots.

No, you don't save the ISO to the flash drive.

1. Download the MediaCreation tool .exe
2. Run it, from an Admin account
3. "Create installation media for another PC"
4. Select "USB flash drive"
5. Next

In Windows 10 clean install tutorial, posted by @USAFRet , 4. and 5. are exactly about how to put installation on flash drive and select desired Windows 10 flavor. Flash drive will get formatted clean in result and tool will copy all required files on it.

What exactly didn't worked?

Wait? Do I need to go into flash mode to make that work? I just inserted usb and turned on computer.

No. But you must select USB flash drive as boot drive. Your computer BIOS must have shortcut key for boot menu. Usually F8...F12, depends from particular BIOS - must be pressed after turning computer on or after reboot. A list with bootable drives with your flash drive mentioned in it must appear. Select flash drive from list and press Enter.

Nope. Reboot and try to get again into boot menu. Look into motherboard user manual for shortcut key.

USB key seems the right choice. Usually it have flash drive model mentioned at right side too, but it may not happen.

Also from manual correct Boot menu shortcut key is F11.

Sabrent ssd just got packaged up and is getting returned. I now have a Samsung 870 evo ssd

Why would you get a different SSD? You have to select which drive you want to boot from. Your splash screen, at startup, typically will display which key it is. Otherwise, go into your bios and set the boot priority.

I’m back up and running with 2 Samsung evo 2tb sata ssd. Case closed!
