I can not get my dell computers wi fi to stay on i have updated the driver and still no luck

It is a dell inspiron 3542 it only stays on a few seconds . It started after the last windows update.

Updated to 18.03 build? this update has been having issues. read that below last link Its more driver issue with the WiFi here is what I suggest.

Download the driver for your system below

What you want on that link is the 16th 2017 WiFi driver. before you install the new download driver remove the old.


Open the Start menu.
Click Settings.
Click System on the Settings menu.
Select Apps & features from the left pane. ...
Select an app you wish to uninstall.
Click the Uninstall button that appears.

Once the driver is removed than install the new one
