I can't change my proxy settings

I cant use Google chrome because it says it can't connect to the proxy server.I don't use a proxy server.I went to the settings.clicked advanced setting.went to proxy settings and tried to deselect use a proxy server.I clicked ok and it didn't save our change anything.it recheched it.so I can't stop using it I need help please

Adapter box shows up.
Lan settings tab.
Hi light adapter or settings, remove vpn.
A proxy is a Vpn.


Proxy setting bottom of box
Untick proxy if one set.
or tick bypass proxy for local addresses.

when i go to the lan settings to deselect the boxes at the bottom and the click ok it says it did it but when i return to lan settings there checked again. theres no vpn. it only says add vpn

I have the same problem but the same thing happens with IE. If you find an answer to this problem please let me know.

Ok log into your router via a cable connection.
Simply put the gateway address of the router into your browser as an address 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1.
Once logged into the router, make sure Dhcp is enabled, and that the upnp option is enabled in the router one of the router sub menus. save the changes made before exiting the router menu.


It`s important to know that if the router has a hardware firewall set to on, that the setting should be set to medium, as high can cause problems, in the case of windows firewall or the firewall in windows security center also running at the same time set to high so check its status in windows if enabled. Both should not be running at the same time, i recommend you disable one or the other or lower each of the settings to medium.

Now go to your control panel in windows and click on, network and internet, click on it
under network an sharing. click on view network and status. click on change adapter settings to the right.
Right click on the adapter device, select properties.
Click on the TCP /IPv4 protocol. select properties when highlighted.
Click o the alternate config tab if there is are any settings pre stored in there . Change the option to automatic private IP address. Save and exit changes.
And restart the system see if it connects.

The only other way to clear this problem is to uninstall the driver for the Ethernet card via windows device manager.
Restart the system. wait till windows loads and detect the hardware device and installs the Ethernet adapter driver. Then set up a new network connection or connect click on connect to a network. It should show the router select it. choose the setting for it as public.

Hello, I had this same problem in Chrome. This is how I fixed it: Open Chrome as Administrator (to do this if you don't know how: right click once on the program name in the start menu and select "Run as Administrator"). Then go to settings, change proxy settings, click on advanced, and delete any information such as the numbers in the boxes. You may have to hit Delete a couple of times to erase them. Just the numbers are fine. Hit OK, it will ask if you really want to change these settings, say Yes. On the main box, check "Automatically detect settings" and click OK. That should do it...but let me know if it doesnt!

I just sent you an answer, and noted that you did this same procedure it appears, the only thing different being you need to run it as an administrator. If that doesn't work, please let me know.
