[SOLVED] I cant delete the partitions on my secondary drive?

So I have this second 1 tb ssd that I got from someone and the thing is that it is better than my primary one that has windows. I've been using it for a while as secondary storage but I have decided that I want to clone my OS onto it because it would benefit from faster speeds, but now I tried to use clean on disk part and it gives me error "clean is not allowed in the disk containing the current boot.. etc" and this is odd because I have never installed anything only games. I have deleted all the games for the clone only like 2, but it still has 20 gb used on it and I don't know why please help.

I think it has something to do with the partition that I am unable to delete, as stated in the early posts.

I don't see a "start cloning" button.

I see "clone this disk", which leads to a second screen where you choose the destination.

Nothing need be 'deleted' before you start.

You cannot choose disk 0 as the destination disk on the second screen of Macrium?

Please show us the Macrium window as it appears before you hit the Go button.

Never seen this issue before.

Possibly clean the Disk 1, from the commandline. Diskpart, and the clean function.

Already tried, says Virtual Disk Service Error, Clean is not allowed on the disk containing the current boot, system, pagefile, crashdump, or hibernation volume. I don't know what it is talking about as it has nothing.

Check your pagefile settings.
If this drive is included, take it out.

In Virtual Memory, if the E drive is in there, remove it.

Oh ok, i see that the virtual memory thing was on my E drive rather than my C drive. I removed it from my E drive and put it on my C drive.

Thank you the clone was successful, and everything seems normal and I have the full 1TB, but it is only 1700 MBPS read speed for some reason when it is usually over 2000 for a 980? It is still fine though thank you guys.

This also depends on the speed your CPU can manage that amount of data so if you have a slower CPU it will not be able to fully use all of the speed.
But the big advantage of these drives is the random access and not the sequential read/write.

1 TB 980 SSD (previously 256 GB SK Hynix NVME drive)

Its weird because I had another system I did a clone on, and it was very weak with a 4th gen i5 and it managed to get over 3000 MBPS using a Samsung NVME 970
