I Can't Find My Triangle :) lol

Hey guys today I got my new computer parts at home and when I was going to install my i5-3570k in my Asus Sabertooth z77 I couldn't find the triangle on the motherboard. PLEASE help. I feel like a major newb

So what happened when you hit the power switch on the PC, nothing at all?

huh... you have the pins for the case's power switch connected, and sure you hit the power switch and not the reset switch?

I take it you've turned it off again. Don't leave it running or mess with any cables or peripherals while it's on... switch it off via PSU rear switch if need be.

Unfortunately there's no motherboard speaker, which may provide some insight. I don't know why some cases even come without.

It's odd the fans aren't spinning up though.

All of it? Reseating RAM, swapping the sticks, restting CMOS, breadboarding?

I don't know, to be honest... do what you're more comfortable with. If you don't feel up to the task of doing some troubleshooting with testing the PSU via paperclip method or resetting CMOS, breadboarding, etc...

It may well be a trivial issue, or one that's harder to troubleshoot. The fans not coming on have me thinking there's either a short somewhere or the CPU isn't seated properly.
