Hey guys today I got my new computer parts at home and when I was going to install my i5-3570k in my Asus Sabertooth z77 I couldn't find the triangle on the motherboard. PLEASE help. I feel like a major newb

THANKS!!! lol

ALSO I'll keep this thread updated on things I'll need help with throughout the night!
Thanks again,
BuBz

Oh, no, no... no sides yet, lol.

First you should double-check everything. Check all cables and peripherals to make sure everything is seated properly. Check your motherboard to see if everything is plugged in (there will be a few missing as discussed earlier, SPDIF, etc). Make sure everything is plugged in where it's supposed to.

Before you power up, I also need to make clear you understand I'm merely trying to help and everything you're doing is at your own risk. I obviously can't see what's going on, if perhaps something is plugged in incorrectly or in the wrong place, something's missing, if your CPU isn't seated correctly, etc, etc.

There's really only so much one can do from here. I'll be a happy camper if it boots, lol. If not, don't blame me!

Ok, I'm pretty sure I see everything. CD Drive plugged in Check, HDD Check, Molex's Check, CPU fan Check, LED things in bottom right of mobo Check, USB 3.0 Check, 24pin check, Assist fans check, I've checked everything. Now for the dumbest question I will ask probably. How do I plug it into a TV(waiting on monitor) Do I just plug in a HDMI to the TV like a xbox?

Yeah I know. I wouldn't blame you lol. The main thing I'm hoping is that I didn't bend and prongs on the CPU

*bonks head on table*

Yeah... I think your board has
2x Intel Sata 6GB/s
2x ASmedia Sata 6GB/s
4x Intel Sata 3GB/s

For your SSD, use an Intel 6GB/s

(edit: according to manual they're the brown ones)

I wouldn't even bother with the HDD for now.

The only thing I'm kind of curious about is their 24 pin ATX connector. It's odd they split it from the PSU... from what I understand you have one 18pin and one 10pin coming out of the PSU... and they basically link up to form the 24pin connector, yes?

Yeah... i'd just be kinda curious to see the whole cable as it looks straightened out.

But it appears the Sesonic PSUs are the same. Buried in another forum somewhere:
"The Seasonic 24 pin connector actually has 28 cables going into a 10 Pin and 18 Pin housing"

So... you have the 18 pin, the 10 pin below... and next to the 10 pin you have the 8pin going to 8pin socket for your CPU right... lol

In your PSU, you have nothing plugged in the top right.
Nothing plugged into your PCI-E connectors

It looks good to me. From where I'm sitting. lol
