Question I can't run my Dell laptop with the laptop screen removed.

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 7567 which due to some water damage can't run it's built-in screen anymore - there is still a display, but it is too dark. It runs an external monitor fine though, so I've decided to turn it into a desktop.

The issue I have is that after removing the entire screen half of the laptop it won't load up, shutting itself off after 10-15 seconds, unless I plug the old internal monitor as well.

Does anyone know of a way around this?

Thanks!

well you might want to keep the display connected just press the windows key and p to disable the internal monitor and set it to second screen only

Yeah that's what I've done, it's working just fine, I was hoping though someone may know a way to be able to work it without the other screen still plugged in.
