I Can't run my games... :(

Hi,
recently I built a new computer and it runs just fine, until I try and play a game.. For a large majority of the games I play, or, used to play that is, are just crashing or freezing and ultimately forcing me to restart my computer. I run all of my games through Steam. But it's also not just every game. It's like random games that shouldn't be crashing. My computer should be able to play all the games I have on high settings and even if I can't I KNOW medium settings. But no matter what settings I put them on they ultimately crash. But what's really strange are the games that crash. I like to play Gmod and TF2 a lot, but I can't. I'll get into a server and play for a little bit and it'll freeze. IF I'm lucky. Normally they'll just freeze as soon as I join. Along with games such as Guild Wars 2 and GunZ 2. I know that's not a lot, but I also have other games that I haven't even bothered to play. But the thing that confuses me is I can't run Gmod for 1 second but I can hop onto Landmark with mediumish/high settings (it's also in alpha/beta and hasn't been optimized so take that into consideration) and FFXIV max settings and get perfect framerate. That, just confuses the hell out of me. Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions please let me know cause this is really frustrating me. Here's my specs:

CPU: AMD A10-5800K APU with Radeon(tm)HD graphics
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon HD 7750 2GB OC Edition
PSU: Corsair 500W
RAM: 4GB

Oh and I'm running Windows 8.1 64 bit and yes that processor is 64 bit. Not saying that you don't already know that.

I've already checked the drivers, and nothing is overclocked except the graphics card but that came overclocked out the box so I'm not sure it's possible to change that

Trust me, I've done that more times than you could imagine. Tried reinstalling all games, along with steam and it seems like nothing works. I've looked up my problems for all games and they all seem to have problems similar to mine but it can't honestly just be a very bad coincidence could it? I hope not cause that is just awful luck.

First, not over-clock any of your component. And then check that is there any problem with your windows. I think that it is also not the windows problem. I think may be its RAM problem. Take out your system RAM and plug it again. Then check it again, sometime this solution works. If blue screen is coming and crashing your system then there are two problems. 1) RAM problem, 2) Some software is messing with your system. Check offline games, don't play through steam.

I tried that, and went into tf2 and Gmod both teased me with gameplay then froze. Tf2 actually lasted pretty long I managed to play a round before it froze, with Gmod I played like 12 seconds then it froze. Honestly the most frustrating thing in the world.
