i cant see my nvidia driver app in my windows 8

need help guys! when i update my nvidia driver app in my desktop is suddenly pops a message that says " termination @%@&!&!*" i dont remember the exact words and then when im trying to find the drivers app i cant see it on my windows anymore the nvidia drivers still installed on my programs how to regain the lost nvidia driver app i cant controll the settings of my video card anymore. any recommendations on how to fix this guys?


my computer is windows 8.1 64 bit
my video cards is gtx 950

Try right clicking on your desktop and clicking NVIDIA Control Panel. If that's not there, try looking for it in control panel. If you still aren't met with success, try uninstalling anything NVIDIA and then doing a clean installation of the drivers (there's a little checkbox somewhere int he installation process labelled clean installation or something similar, it wipes your NVIDIA settings to get rid of any errors in the previous installation that might affect the new one)

Also keep in mind UAC (User account control in Windows) is a grey area and is usually fine to leave this at the default setting but because it can be adjusted and if set too aggressive, right clicking the driver executable and running as administrator would be an idea to try.

Since Win7, i've always turned UAC off and never had any problems. Not saying your problem is related, could be just a corrupted download file. Albeit wouldn't surprise if UAC had some involvement in the the simplest issues found on the net.
