Please keep it to 1 thread
So i have brought a crucial ssd (1TB) and when it came I wanted to move everything from my hdd to sdd so yea i cloned it using acronis (im new to all this). Once cloned i could boot off from my ssd and then i was going to wipe the hdd to use as storage but when i went to the devices and drivers tab i realized it said my new ssd had only 500gb and not the 1tb so i went on google etc and looked for answers but nothing worked.

I have tried to click extend volume but its gray and i tried to shrink 1gb etc nothing was working so i thought id just delete the volume on my sdd and hopefully start afresh and just clone windows onto my ssd using aomei however once i did that i formatted my drive and it still says that 500gb is used for something else. Like i said im new and i really need help if anyone wants to screenshare my discord is Newk#5354

If you know of any solutions please let me know ill try it and give feedback on here.. sorry if this isnt in the right area im just so new to all this

Solution
Which drive is SUPPOSED to be the 1TB Crucial?
Disk 1 or Disk 2?

From that Disk Management window, it is Disk 2, containing the F partition.
Which you are not currently booting from.

Redo the whole clone thing.

-----------------------------
Specific steps for a successful clone operation:
-----------------------------
Verify the actual used space on the current drive is significantly below the size of the new SSD
Download and install Macrium Reflect (or Samsung Data Migration, if a Samsung SSD)
Power off
Disconnect ALL drives except the current C and the new SSD
Power up
Run the Macrium Reflect (or Samsung Data Migration)
Select ALL the partitions on the existing C drive
Click the 'Clone' button
Wait...
Can you please show full screenshot from Disk Management with all 3 drives visible?
(It shows only 2 of them)

Anyway - you have to redo cloning. It's not cloned properly, partition F: is empty.
Clean Disk 2 (1TB);
Reclone Disk 1 to Disk 2;
Shutdown system, leave only 1TB drive connected and boot your system;
Shutdown again, reconnect drives, change settings in BIOS to boot from 1TB drive;
Boot into windows and clean 500GB drive.
After that delete 466GB recovery partition and extend windows partition to full size of the drive.
so on the remaining 500gb i should reclone the hdd and then do that proccess?

When it finishes, power off
Disconnect ALL drives except for the new SSD
This is to allow the system to try to boot from ONLY the SSD
Swap the SATA cables around so that the new drive is connected to the same SATA port as the old drive
Power up, and verify the BIOS boot order
If good, continue the power up

It should boot from the new drive, just like the old drive.
Maybe reboot a time or two, just to make sure.

If it works, and it should, all is good.

Later, reconnect the old drive and wipe all partitions on it.
This will probably require the commandline diskpart function, and the clean command.

Ok to make it clear disk 2 (f) is the new ssd and disk 1 (c) is my old hdd im booting from disk 1 so yes disk 2 contains the F partition

yet again im really sorry for being a pain in the a*s

You can almost certainly EXTEND the F partition into that unused space tot he right.
Right click on that F partition. What options does it give you?
So ive done everything you said and once i powered off my pc and restared it with just the 1tb ssd connected it booted then went to system recovery (blue screen of death) the clone went well and i cleared all the partitions..

Seems my reply didnt go through because i dont see it here.. So after i did your steps i powered off and unplugged the hdd and had the ssd 1tb connected only and powered on and it said system error blue screen of death and i couldnt boot off from it

Then something went wrong with the clone operation, or something was skipped.

A clone is an exact copy of the original drive.
If the original works, then the clone, done properly, will also work.
Assuming, of course, there are no hardware issues.

Ive been needing help for a day or two everything ive read has not helped anyone with good insight on disk management please add me on discord for a screenshare and hopefully help fix ym issue

Because of the risk involved to your original drive and potentially losing all your information, I would highly recommend working with a local company to have them do this. Because if one thing goes wrong in disk manager or any other destructive command, then your information will be gone forever.
