Hey guys. I know very little of my laptop. I have this computer.http://www.dell.com/us/p/inspiron-15r-5537/pd?oc=fncwu173h&model_id=inspiron-15r-5537

When I run CPUZ it says that its running at 1.60. Then what does the 2.30GHz mean after that? I have been trying to play gamecube games on a emulator that I legally own (just backed them up on my PC) and I get low FPS. Isnt this computer enough to emulate Gamecube games? I do know my PC is underclocked but I want to use the full power of my computer.

Your computer is idling when you have CPUz open. If your computer were under load it would say 2.6ghz. It bounces around and goes low when you are not stressing it to save power. This is completely normal. Your computer IS NOT underclocked.

Also, the CPU is not holding you back form playing those games. Not having a graphics card is what is holding you back.

so the video card i have isnt a graphics card? Is it possible I buy one and install in this? If I get a graphics card this computer should be able to handle decent gaming right? I know gamecube games aren't very "heavy"

You cannot add a GPU to a laptop. I'm sorry.

You do not have a GPU, you have integrated graphics. This is a very low end form of graphics for laptops and computer that aren't designed for gaming. This integrated graphics is built into the CPU. It is basically meant for adding graphics to computers at aren't going to be gaming.

I'm sorry, but that laptop is going to be playing any games.
