I need help fixing this problem! I really want to avoid taking it to Geek Squad. I want to try to fix this at home.

Was it running when it dropped?
A Windows reinstall *might* work, but possibly the hard drive is toast.

Possibly needs a system restore, that if the HDD is still in good shape after the fall.
If not, may need a new HDD and then a restore.

Yes, it was running when I dropped it. And I can't find the installation cd :/
