Hey guys,
Yesterday I accidentally dropped my RAM from about 4 feet above to ground, hitting a bar along the way. From what I can see, the only damage was a scrape on the gold-plate. The RAM still works and I ran Memtest+86 for 9 hours and it passed 10 tests with no errors.
What does concern me if that when I play Battlefield 3, I seem to get slightly lower frames per second than before I dropped it. Times when I used to get 70-75 FPS, I now get 65-70 FPS. Times where I used to get 50-55 FPS I now seem to get 45-50 FPS. Could this be due to me dropping the RAM? Or is this just coincidence and I'm being overly cautious?
Here is an image of the damage to the RAM:
