Hello someone help i really in trouble right now, i've dropped my seagate external hard drive model SRD0SP0. It still spinning and the light is also working but when i insert it in my computer it keeps asking that i sould format it. After a minute my computer guess blue screen. My father is going to be upset because i'd only borrow that. I search the internet and they had this problem bip but mine was no sign of that. The only problem I had right is that it keeps asking to format. Is there anyway that I could repair it please help guys I really need your help.

Hi there ghostgaming,

That is unpleasant. Unfortunately, most probably the HDD got damaged from the fall.
You can try using some partition/data recovery tool. Yet, as your system blue screens, I doubt that this will help.

You can try:
- Using a different cable.
- Go to Disk Management and see how is the drive recognized over there.
- Try the Ubuntu Live CD approach and see if the HDD would be accessible: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/267999-32-recover-data-mode
