i got a question, should i get a USED GTX 980 or USED R9 fury

Title says it all,
I could get a USED gtx 980 on ebay for about $400 usd
or
I could get a USED Sapphire R9 fury for about $440

I will be gaming at 1080p for now, but i do wanna get a either a freesync or 1440p monitor in the future.

Which should i get? GTX 980 or R9 Fury (non-x)

Performance of each is comparable.
The Fury will want 620w, the GTX980 will want 520w.
If you can buy a EVGA GTX980, I would buy that.
EVGA has a transferrable warranty if the seller properly registered his card.

If you want a freesync monitor, then go for the Fury.
