Question I have a few questions about re-using old mining rig components for a pc build?

Here it goes:
I recently built a pc with spare parts from my mining rig(Server psu +PICO 120w)
The pico doesn't have enaugh juice for my cpu.
Is it safe to power the Cpu via a 6pin pcie to 8pin atx adapter directly from the server psu?
Meaning the PIco is only going to provide power to the board's(24pin) while the beeffy server psu does the heavy lifting?

My Components:
Ryzen 9-5950x
RTX 3070
Asrock B550 Phantom itx/ax
64gb Fury
Samsung 980 Evo-(My boot drive)
5TB barracuda
PSU - HP 1200w platinum server PSU (12v only +Breakout board) + (120w Pico PSU)

Full watercooling loop from Alphacool.

My main fear is that there may be some sort of power delay between the two PSUs(Pico and Server PSU) and that might cause problems.
The PICO psu's input is 12v so naturally I got a 6pin pcie to DC Barrel jack adapter that is purposely made for these two PSUs.

Includes power to the PCI-e slot, all USB, RAM, SSD and fans. 120w is hardly enough.

Well I could use a 2x 6pin pcie adapter to one 8pin atx
8 pin EPS is designed for 300w, 2x 6 pin PCI-e can provide 150w.

Powering a 2 - 2,5K rig in a way like this is a stupid solution. Why don't you just buy a decent 850w PSU?

The whole point was to reuse my old stuff and prevent E waste!

And when it blows up due to insufficient power, it is ALL e-waste.
Not neccessarily!
To my understanding each pin of the 6pin Molex is rated at 11A which gives us around 168w!! How ever the 18-20AWG wire needs to be upgraded to14-15AWG.
I have done similar upgrades in the past and soldering is no strange work to me!!

Ps: I really appreciate you taking your time to reply!
Huge respect bro✌

I understand you didn't get the point here, yes two 6pin connectors 18(AWG) will safely provide 150watts but if upgraded to 14AWG it should easily handle over 300!!
Because like I mentioned below 1/6 pin molex connector is capable of 11A max!

He understood your question, you don't understand that what you are proposing to do is not smart.
I know the 8pin is physically bigger than the 6 although they both have the same number of 12v lines (3 each) but theoretically a high end 6pin cable (16awg with copper terminal pin) should put out 300w safely!
Yes the 75w rating for the 6pin was done in 2004(22awg and brass pin terminals) back then.
I have proof to back up my claims!

When the new 12pin connector comes out we should be able to use 2 high end 6pin connectors to power it without spending unnecessary money on brand new PSUs!!
