Question i have a gtx 1660 and a ryzen 7 3700x

for some reason with my specs listed above, my games run worse than when i had a 1050 and a ryzen 5 2600. How do i fix this? I have fully updated drivers and chipsets and everything and still nothing worked. I even tried to us DDU but my pc wouldnt boot to safe mode either.

I'd likely just flatten the installation and start over with fresh full install, vice hoping to stumble onto/correct whatever the current (probably driver) issue is/was...

i did the fresh start selection because for some reason the windows media creation tool wont work for me either.

Use alternative option like Rufus, multi boot USB
Or even disk part will do

my specs currently are ryzen 7 3700x, gtx 1660, 32 gigs of ddr4 ram (3600), b450 tomahawk mobo, 500w 80+ power supply

What PSU exactly? Sounds sketchy. Have you tried what mdd1963 has suggested, that might help?
