I have a huge problem guys.......

My computer CANT stress test. Every time I hit start on a stress test my computer IMMEDIATELY restarts. I tried Prime 95,Adia64 and intel extreme tuning tool. It's becoming the new power button for my computer.
One thing I can assure you is that it is not low CPU voltage as that is set to 1.395 volts. Maybe Im wrong. Also I tested my integrated graphics instead of my gpu and still insta crash. When it crashes it wont even boot up. The computer will light up but it will never boot into my OS. Please HELP!

It's possible that you've got a compatibility rather than voltage issue. I would start by reflashing the mobo BIOS and updating all of your drivers (and cleaning out any old ones you may have installed). I would also download MemTest86 and run that to make sure that your DRAM is good to go.

What are your build details?

I7-4790k Processor (Not overclocked)
Corsair vengence pro 2400mhz 16gb RAM
Gigabyte R9 290 GPU (Factory overclocked, other than that i did nothing)
WD black 1TB Hard Drice
Samsung EVO SSD 250gb (has my OS and a few games)
Corsair CX750M PSU
Corsair C70 vengence case

I installed everything from my cd which claimed to be the latest version.

I would recommend that you go to your mobo's support page (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4950#ov) and either download and install the App Center and EasyTune utilities and use them to update your BIOS and drivers, or download and install the latest BIOS and drivers individually. The BIOS that your mobo ships with and the drivers on the CD are rarely the latest version.

If updating everything doesn't fix your problem, then you can start testing your hardware to see if there's a fault somewhere.

Also I wanna ask if a 1.4v core voltage is to high as it is the default voltage. Can XMP be the culprit to because my memory is 2400mhz. Does Norton internet security affect stress testing?

For a Haswell (including Devil's Canyon), 1.4V is too high - 1.3V is as high as you should let it go. The 4790K should be able to run 2400 MHz DRAM with only a mild overclock, if any. Your components are technically compatible, but your current BIOS and drivers may not be.

One of the things a BIOS update will do is improve your mobo's ability to work with new components or new component drivers. I don't know when exactly your mobo was manufactured and packaged, but there's a good chance that it was before the DC chips were released.

Every chip is different in it's power requirements and temperature profile. Mine will run at stock clock speeds at 1.15V, including during stress testing. Anything over 1.3V has the potential to damage the chip or shorten it's useful lifespan by a considerable degree.

I don't know what a purist would say, but I don't change any of my software settings during stress testing, including running Norton 360.

1.4 V is what you might use on this chip for an extreme overclock with a pretty crazy cooling solution, and even then its pushing it for daily use. It is not at all appropriate for an ordinary user at stock frequency. If your motherboard is defaulting to 1.4 V, I'd manually dial in 1.2 V or so and see if the issue vanishes. If so, keep stress testing to find the proper stable voltage.

Watch your temperatures with something like this as well.

I just updated my bios from version F5-F7 now the auto voltage dropped
from 1.4 to 1.2.

Strange I updated my bios yesterday through the @bios app. But what the hell why not. actually the bios updater is not offering any f8 versions.

I'm still not able to use my bios 1.

On your mobo, how are your BIOS switch and SB switches currently set? (Top right corner of mobo)
