Question I have an AMD processor and I am trying to use the max speed on my processor.

I need help on how i can use its a 2.9 but is 3.2 turbo. I downloaded amd overdrive and tried to turn on turbo but it only maxes out to 2.9 how do I make it use the 3.2 turbo?

Run a CPU demanding task. You're trying to overclock instead of use the turbo is what it sound like. The CPU should automatically ramp up to the 3.2 in short bursts, but not stay there.

when i try to do it and apply on AMD overdrive it just sets it back to the 2.9 ghz.

Depending on which CPU this is, that 3.2GHz Turbo speed might only apply in single core workloads and if your CPU loads anything more than a single core you drop down to a lower speed. In that case if you want 3.2GHz on all cores, you'd have to overclock.

How do you overclock it and do it safely? i havent done before and i dont want to mess the cpu up I just want to use the 3.2 turbo.

Depends on what hardware you have such as the CPU model, the motherboard model and your power supply.
