Question I just built my system and when I press the power button everything flashes on and then turns off

I just built my new system and everything flashes on and then off when I power it on. The ram lights up and the motherboard leds do too, but the fans dont move or light up. Not even the gpu does. Any help?

Without particulars for that system it's really only a guessing game. It could be practically anything including bad luck !!!!!
