I lent my freeagent go flex 1TB drive to a Windows user, and now my Mac doesn't even recognize it... help??

Any suggestions as to how I can reformat it - when my Mac (even in disc utility) doesn't show it as being connected? The light it on, so I know that it is powered up and working.

That external HD is supposed to be freely interchangeable between windows and mac computers. Was any formatting done to the drive? maybe your friend dropped it or something.

Try a partition app. If it can see the drive, maybe you can format it so you can use it again.

Maybe your friend wiped the drive clean?
