I have been having problems with my screens, when starting games. I think that this is because of my gpu being broken or that it doesen't get enough power.

I'll try to list everything here, but ask if you need to know more. I don't know theese power thigns that well...

Cpu: i7-6700k @4.00 GHz
Gpu: Asus Strix GeForce gtx 970. I think that core is 1050 MHz and Memory 1750 MHz but i'm not sure...
Motherboard: Gigabyte G1.Sniper B7
Ram: 2x8GB DDR4
Memory: 2xSSD+HDD
Cpu fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Case: Phanteks Enthoo ATX-Full tower case luxe. (Link for it) http://www.phanteks.com/Enthoo-Luxe.html. It has 2x 140mm fans and 1x 200mm. It has 2x led stripes. And Finally a Fan Hub

Current PSU is Corsair Modular CX600M (600W)

And if my pc has enough power now, would it have if i switched my gpu to a MSI GeForce GTX 1070 ARMOR 8G OC 8192 Mt

Solution

The PSU is not one that should be running any high end parts , more for budget \ office setups.

Thanks for you reply. I might try my PSU in another pc later.
Since I finally got a reply from someone concerning my problem, I would like to ask that what do you think is causing my problem: When I start a game, the loading works fine, but when I see the main menu of a game for a second, my screens take weird colours and sometimes my main monitor says something like: "No signal detected". I can still hear the sounds so the games are working. I have to do a hard reset to get my pc working again. I think the last time, this happend, my second monitor went to pink and my main monitor to purple. My main monitor switched to black and back. It seemed like it tried to get my game back, but couldn't.
I had a similar problem, but it was towards software, I did a clean install of windows, it was working. Then this stated happening. At first it did this when I STARTED playing, not loading to a game. I fixed this by adjusting Vsync and such. Then it did it again when we won the game, and it loaded the "winning screen". After this it crashed at the same time I heard an explosin (could be coincidence of course. I left my pc off for couple of hours and then it started the way I described in the beginning

So you would suggest that I should get a new PSU?

Could be PSU is getting hot and cant maintain the power draw or the video card is on its way out. You really have to test to know for sure. If you get a 1070 also get a quality PSU.

What PSU/What type of PSU (like brand and wattage) would you recommend if I would get a 1070?

might i suggest this link... (to anandtechs latest PSU review... a mythical Quality PSU)

Ok i have a evga 750 p2...

My 6600k, (4g3) 3600 ddr4 16GB ram... 2 gtx980 SLI, nvme 950 pro, 2.5 HDD idles at 84 watts.

On p95, runs at 200 watts (116 watts extra)
Furmark on one gtx980 approx 250 watts extra...

prime95 + furmark benchmark 4K 667 watts. i use a 750 watt psu.

While you theoretically have enough PSU to run your system,
i would upgrade to a platinum or titanium 750 watt psu from seasonic or evga or corsair.
While the cx series corsair is ok, it is not high end.
You are running high end components, so use a high end 750 watt psu.
(If you will only ever run a single gpu, a high end 650watt could be good)

He doesn't need 750W though.

Let's just say that GTX 970 draws 250W at load. And assume i7 draws 95W at stock. And the rest of the components draw a total of 100W. The total amount of the estimated power draw is 445W. A 550W is quite sufficient even when OC is applied to the CPU. 650W is more than enough. 750W is a 300W headroom where OP can fit in 2 GPUs, so it's not necessary.

The video card requires atleast a 500W and you should get a quality tier 1 or tier 2 PSU. Here is a good list with each company's PSU and what tiers they fit. The tier 2 and about are for high end gaming and overclocking. Tiers 3 and below are mostly only good for systems for web browsing and general business. IE most systems without a dedicated GPU.

Help would be nice. I live in Finland. I'm pretty sure that I will buy a 1070, but I'm not entirely sure yet. So what PSU would you recommend with my build, but the 970 changed to 1070 (that will no be overclocked). But ofc I would want a PSU that has some extra wattage.

Are you completely sure that 550W is enough?

What PSU that would run my setup with a 1070 and would have 6 sata cables would you recommend?

Ok, thanks for your help. I will prob purchase this and the 1070. I will come back and update on the situation
