I need help deciding if I should upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10

Hi, I'm Matt.
I just built this rig.

I have an i7-7700k z270 processor.
I have a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM fan for my processor.
I have an EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FOUNDERS EDITION GAMING, 11GB GDDR5X, LED, DX12 OSD.
I have an ASUS PG279 monitor. (RoG)
I have an EVGA supernova 1000 g2 power source.
I have an old DVD optical drive from my old computer. I don't see the reason in buying a new one since it works fine.
I have a Samsung 850 EVO-Series 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive.
I have an ASUS ROG Maximus IX Hero LGA1151 DDR4 DP HDMI M.2 USB 3.1 ATX Motherboard.
The motherboard supports 64Gbs of RAM.
I put it all in a NZXT H440 (Matte Black/Green) ATX Mid Tower Case.
I'm still not sure what RAM to put in it.

I love Windows 7 and despise Windows 10.
Do I have to install Windows 10 in order to fully utilize my new rig to the best of its abilities?

You won't get DX 12 on Win 7 so there is that factor at some stage.

Its up to you, I can't think of any other things that win 10 does that win 7 can't. If you don't play modern games (then why have a gtx 1080ti) you may not notice the lack of DX12

Game developers are not writing any games for Win7 anymore. If you already have all the games you will ever want to play, then there is absolutely no reason to go to Win10.

Nice build
I'm no expert but win 7 doesn't have much time left Jan 2020.
Even win 8.1 has till 2023 then All support stops from what I have seen from Microsoft.
Doesn't mean you can run it, just no more support for anything.
I would say with the current win 10 anniversary culmaltive april update issues wait a little bit if you still have 7.
There are a lot of people with a sudden case of hair loss and scabs on top of scabs from the hair pulling and scratching of heads.
