I need help finding the correct motherboard. I need one that is AMD, can be micro atx or atx, supports fx processors, and has crossfire support.

You will want to be sure that the board does CF at x8, x8 lanes minimum for best performance.

Yeah, I should have been more specific. This might sound crazy, but I have a budget of 43.53. I found a mobo on newegg for 40, but it was out of stock and had 5 dollars shipping. I don't care if the bored is used, or refurbished. If it works how it is supposed to I will take it.

You're probably going to have to look on ebay for a used one, then. Or drop the CF requirement. Which one was the $40 one you found on Newegg?

You budget is too low and which FX matters. FX 4??? can use a much cheaper board than a FX 83??.

The Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P will run and overclock any FX CPU except the insane FX9??? series (that I would always advise you to avoid) will Crossfire, and costs about $60 US.

To get x8 x8 you will need something like the MSI 970 Gaming, which will also run nearly any FX CPU, but cots about $100.

Cant find the 40 dollar mobo. My processor is AMD FX-4300 3.8 Ghz Quad Core. I cant do much about my short budget, and have searched ebay to find motherboards that would work perfectly, but don't have my cpu under cpu type. If my cpu isn't listed under cpu types can I still use the mobo?

Probably not.

Cheap boards are unable to Crossfire, in general. If you have a low budget, why would you want to Crossfire. How can you afford two good GPUs?

The CPU you have could use a cheaper motherboard, but if you make that choice it will limit your future upgrades. I would always want a motherboard that could at least run and overclock a FX6300, even if I had to wait and save a bit to get it.

To reach your target you will need to find a good second hand motherboard.

I don't have to buy the gpu's as my brother is upgrading to Titan X's soon and will give me his AMD Radeon 7750's to use. I still need to know if a motherboard doesn't list my cpu type under cpu type, if I can still use the mobo.

Avoid CF with low end gfx cards like the HD 7750. They scale poorly and are prone to stutter and other anomalies. You may get improved frame rates, but the gaming experience will suffer. And if the board has two PCIe x16 slots at x16, x4 lanes, it will be even worse because of the difference in bandwidth between the two slots.

What he said. Get a Good motherboard, or at least a decent one. Your CPU is comparatively weak and just about any CrossfiredGPUs will add to it's stress. If you get a good motherboard, you have some sort of upgrade path.

I have made the sort of choices you are thinking about (many years ago when I was much younger) and I can tell you that they are short-sighted and end up costing more in the long run.

So, It's not worth it to crossfire these hours since they will bottle neck? My brother has them crossfire, and he says he gets really good frames. The hardest games I'm really playing are gta v and far cry 4.

Okay, so from what answer I am getting I have decided to just get a new GPU. I have a AMD Radeon HD 6450 right now which is why I want to upgrade. Thanks for the help.
