I need help finding the right laptop.

So, I've been looking for a new laptop for a while now, and I can't seem to find something that works for me. I mostly use my laptop for work; some computer programming, graphic design, and AutoCAD. Occasionally I do play games on my laptop, so I am looking at gaming laptops. My main problem I've had in the past is that the only gaming laptops I've had were very noisy, even while idle. I don't care whether their noisy during gaming, I just would like it to be quiet while I'm working. I'm also looking for something minimalist, not flashy, and I would like a 10-key. I've only found a few laptops that would work, and I can't know if they would be quiet without trying them. The one I'm most interested in is the Maingear Element 2 17". My budget is $2300, also.
Hope you can help.

You're going to have a hard time finding laptops with 10-key keypads anymore. I know I had an impossible time with that searching for my laptop last year. The thing with that Maingear laptop that you're looking at is that it is a gaming grade laptop and Autodesk applications run better on professional grade laptops. Most of which use NVIDIA Quaddro GPUs and have better screens. If you're looking for that kind of laptop I'd search more of MSI's professional offerings. Asus, Dell, and Lenovo also have a few that are more business and professional oriented as well. But you want something like this:

Something like this would work also:

Thanks for the quick reply. I really only use autodesk occasionally. What's most important to me is that the laptop be quiet. Would either of those fit that bill, or the Maingear?
