Is that supposed to be just an upgrade for existing parts/machine ? $250 just for those 2 components ?Hey guys, so someone asked me to build a home/work pc for them and I need some help with choosing the CPU and mobo.

No, 250 for the whole PC.Is that supposed to be just an upgrade for existing parts/machine ? $250 just for those 2 components ?
No, 250 for the whole PC.
Yeah, I don't mind if they are used or not.this is practically impossible if we are talking about new components. Second hand, could be done...
So you're saying I should go with AMD?Some of cheapest are Ryzen 2200g processor.
I was going for 4gb of RAM. Also, isn't DDR4 kind of expensive?at least 2x4GB memory up to 3000MHz DDR4, the ones without heat sink.
Ebay and gumtree.Do you have some favorite site you could buy parts from ?
Heh heh, I don't really know much about AMD so I always go with Intel. Some of cheapest are Ryzen 2200g processor. A320 chipset based microATX motherboards
I thought you want some modern stuff not 6 - 7 generations old. Might as well look for a complete, used PC in that case. No new parts of that generation were made for several years. I wouldn't pay more than 100 bucks for a I5 2400 computer.I was thinking I should go with an intel 1155 socket mobo and like an i5 2400.
