Question I need help with a ryzen 2700x

So, I just got a 2700x because they are on a great sale right now and I needed more for streaming than a 6700k. So, after I got the 2700x installed I immediately started overclocking and was able to get up to 4.3 on 4.5v I think it was. I then dialed it back to 4.2 after a crash on 4.4. Then idk when it exactly happened but, instead of a score of 1721 on 1.35v (which I looked up and I think I should have a higher score than that but, let's ignore that for now) I got a 1450 I think it was and I tried everything for hours after that to get it back to the old score. Such as clearing cmos, more voltage, higher ram overclock, the pbo, putting it back on stock settings, everything I could think of. But, the weirdest thing about whats happening is that the same thing happened on my 6700k. It dropped from a 890 to like 650 or something. So im at a loss here and need help.

There is no need to over clock they overclock them selves and you were doing yourself a disservice

Dmann are you sure it was me ?
What the specs of the system ?
How old are the parts and or has anything been carried over from another system?
Yes, I'm sure you know more about the 2700x than most people. :D
How many days did I watch you do your research and then test your 2700x on your ROG Strix X470.
You earned my respect , watching you meticulously work out your OC.
If you need my help, I'm here.

Yeah, I'm assuming that's supposed to be 1.5V. Which is still too high for Ryzen 2k from what I've read.

Although the fact that 7nm Ryzen 3k is apparently fine with up to 1.5V really does have me scratching my head on what safe voltages are these days...

Edit: Too high for a manual fixed voltage I should say. Auto voltage has different limits, as it takes into account CPU load and power and whatnot, and is therefore still safe at voltages high enough that they'd be unsafe for a fixed voltage. Or so I've heard.

The only times I has seen it @1.5v is when I was Letting mine go with XFR@ and Pbo in the beginning
well before my bios update adventure.
I do know kinda as gage with my friends 2700x he was doing the same thing when he built his with the 2700x,
he left his g.skill trident z 3200 at just the xmp and scored 1850 on cbr15.
so his is low and just over my 2600x right now.

Thank You Dmann
It was a month or just over And It was Hair Pulling, and not very nice words said at times LOL
I definitely know you spent a LOT of time (some of it frustrating) getting your OC stable.
But I also know you learned a lot in the process and taught me a few things along the way. :D
You have some very hard earned experience with your CPU that I and most others don't.
