[SOLVED] I need help with ram

Solution
The photo looks like you might have three memory modules?

The 16 GB (2x8 GB) module would have come from a 2 x 8 GB dual channel kit. This module should only be used together with the other memory module from the same dual channel kit. This is to ensure inter-module compatibility.

The other 1 x 8 GB module is an individual one and not from a dual channel kit.

There is a high chance of inter-module incompatibility when trying to use the "1 x 8 GB" module together with the "2 x 8 GB" module. So the computer may not use some or all of the memory.

No guarantee this will be successful, but you could try several things to get the two modules to work together.

  1. Swap the modules around in different memory slots
  2. Reduce memory...

No guarantee this will be successful, but you could try several things to get the two modules to work together.

  1. Swap the modules around in different memory slots
  2. Reduce memory frequency in BIOS
  3. Relax memory timings in BIOS
  4. Increase DRAM Voltage in BIOS
  5. Try some other 1 x 8 GB modules until a compatible combination is found.

Ideally a system compatible 2 x 8 GB complete dual channel kit should have been bought to begin with. As the modules within the kit have been tested for inter-module compatibility and should work immediately in your system without issues.
