So I've been tweaking my build based on some better suggestions I've seen on this forum and elsewhere. I'm going to lay out my current design below and await your feedback. I'll be using it primarily for gaming.

One thing I wasn't sure about though, I've seen several gaming PCs use more expensive motherboards. What benefits do you get from a higher end mobo, and would I be better off to go with a better model for $100-$150 more?

I found this article (linked below) with reviews by Tech Power Up with a noise comparison of a ton of different PSUs, with these two among the list. Regardless of the G2's, the P2 actually came in a little over 1 db lower overall than the Seasonic. The editor was very adament that the smaller fan size on the Seasonic would end up being more noisy in the end if you put enough stress on it, granted that would have to be a pretty hefty rigg. That said, they both scored a 9.5 overall rating, so clearly they're both of high quality and fairly comparable.

If I were making a white rigg, I would without a doubt go with the Seasonic. I'm nearly tempted just because of the motherboard I ended up with, although like you said it would end up being covered by a shroud anyway. Plus I already ordered the part and it's on its way, haha. But I appreciate you pointing this product out to me though, I want to keep these white parts saved in the back of my mind, incase I ever feel like changing things out and going for a white build. Appreciate the tips!
